Some love stories start with a spark—and others start with a friend named Adam. Sam and Dustin first met back in Grade 9 through their mutual friend, and twelve years later, they’re preparing to welcome the newest addition to their growing family. Their maternity session at Sunday Avenue in Winnipeg was filled with laughter, love, and the warmth of two people who genuinely adore each other—and their dog, Moka, of course. Whether they’re adventuring at Grand Beach with Moka, paddle boarding together, or simply navigating the everyday quirks of pregnancy, they make it look easy.

It meant the world to me to capture this season of their lives. I had the honour of photographing their early days as a couple, and now, to document their journey into parenthood—it’s incredibly special. They wanted something simple and comfortable for this session, and Sunday Avenue gave us just that: soft natural light, cozy vibes, and the perfect backdrop for their story to unfold.
